Beautiful, but why?

I truly enjoy this game, but I have one problem
Why must we buy the new character? This game wasnt cheap, Id be fine with ninety nine cents, two dollars is a bit steep. This game is beautiful though, Id recommend it to people who are a fan of runners and rhythm based games. Also this game is a bit short for the price. So keep that in mind before you buy.
